Katalin Eckstein, Psy.D., LMHC

Dr. Eckstein is a licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist specializing in brain-body connection for over 20 years. Her theoretical perspective is psycho-dynamic, focusing on object relations, attachment, personality development, skill building, cognitive retraining, parenting and addictions. By using insight oriented therapy, trauma resolution therapy, cognitive behavioral and motivational techniques, building resilience and psycho-education, she works to empower and build on each client’s strengths. She has extensive experience with adults, adolescents and children. Her direct yet loving approach helps people build on self love and self actualization, while choosing to improve. Her expertise in the realm of neuropsychology helps bring principles of neuroplasticity to both therapy and the assessment process.

We provide psychological services conceptualizing each individual’s personality from an object relations perspective. This perspective focuses on how our past and present relational patterns affect our lives. It views human relations as the primary motivational force in life. By increasing awareness, and learning new, more adaptive skills, we gain strength and fortitude and healthier behaviors.

We conceptualize from a developmental and biological framework. It is the interplay between our development, biology, cognitive and emotional functioning that makes us unique. Again, by understanding ourselves we gain perspective on how to maximize our strengths while overcoming our weaknesses.

We specialize in the field of addiction, from an integrative approach, offering intensive outpatient services for adults and adolescents in our community.
